First the bad, we majorly overtipped because we didn’t realize a party of 4 adults and 2 kids would create an auto tip for a large party. We were just handed a handheld computer that was on the top screen. It offered 3%, 5% and 7%. We thought, wow that’s not near enough and we added something like a 25%. We didn’t know til later that was additionally to a large party pre-tip. Anyways, our 3 of this party of 6, we had a burger, chicken tenders and a salad. It was all excellent. Very good food. The atmosphere was awesome. We sat outside and listened to some very good live music. The kids were able to play cornhole. Really cool. Our waitress was pretty good. It was busy and she was working very hard to keep up. She was very pleasant. I bought a shirt and the sizes are a little big. I should have tried it on. Next time we are in Louisiana we will eat there again and get a smaller size. Great place.

Food was excellent!!!! Chicken fried chicken was so moist and juicy. Broccoli was fresh and was not overcooked. Mashed potatoes were homemade. Skin included, which I love. Husband had the Hardhead burger. Huge and fulfilling!!!! Our server Allison, was quick with our drinks and food, so bubbly (even during the rush)!!!! So happy. Highly recommended!!!

We were in Lake Charles La visiting and decided to try Rikenjaks for lunch. I've heard so many good things about this restaurant we had to try it. Once we arrived the parking lot wasn't very full which was perfect for us. The patio area has a nice crowd. The kids and adults were really enjoying the giant Jenga and the checker game also. Once we went inside we were greeted with a hello and shortly afterwards our server Caroline Z came over. Once we got menus we were informed that they only have a small menu with burgers and appetizers during the week, but on weekends they have a bigger menu. We both order sweet tea and after looking over the menu we both decided to try the burgers. We decided to start with the southwestern eggroll appetizer and they were delicious. For our main courses I decided on the Brewpub burger which consisted of beer battered onion ring, pepper jack cheese, bacon and smoky barbecue sauce with Cajun fries. My hubby ordered the American Classic Burger which consisted of 8oz patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion with mustard and mayo with waffle fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. The burgers were huge and very tasty. The fries were awesome. The burger was so big we couldn't finish our fries, but we brought them home. This experience was the best ever and we will definitely be back.

Overall a very good choice if you're in Lake Charles. My appetizers tasted great and were top notch. The star of the show in my opinion was the boudin burger. It was amazing and had fresh ingredients in the burger. The prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. A must try!

Great Valentine's dinner! We had the Cajun Mac and cheese and the buffalo chicken served over waffle fries. For drinks we did the lemon drop flight and a Jameson triple triple and sprite. All fantastic!

My wife and i were on a road trip without dogs and wanted a pet friendly environment for lunch. It was about a 10 min off course from I-10. We read "bad" reviews that made us chuckle. We order boudin balls, Cajun Mac n cheese, and sliders. The boudin balls were good but not as spicy as we would like. The dipping sauce was perfect for them though. The sliders were not pretty but the meat was perfect and seasoned well. The Mac n cheese was absolutely 10 out of 10! Good Cajun spice and flavor. Atmosphere was super nice and plenty of room for pups to join. Outdoor seating has plenty of shade for all times of daylight. We will definitely be back on future road trips!
